Hand-dyed yarns and undyed yarns
Hi, I’m Diane, an avid knitter. A few years ago I discovered the wonderful, natural, eco-friendly qualities of linen from the flax plant. Impressed by its green credentials, I decided to found eco-stitch, dyeing my own range of hand-dyed linen yarns for knitting, crochet, weaving and other crafts.
In my shop you can find lots of lovely linen yarn, which comes from just a short hop over the Channel, mainly a sport weight base (light DK) which is the most versatile weight in linen for knitting tops and accessories etc. We stock:
1)soft white and natural (silver/beige) undyed linen yarn, if you want to try your hand at dyeing, or just use as is
2)semi-solids and variegated colours, hand-dyed with low impact, fibre-reactive dyes
3)new naturally-dyed range
We also stock a unique 50/50 linen/alpaca blend (Alpalini), a soft, lustrous, trans-seasonal yarn, in a range of naturally-dyed colours.
We have another exciting new range dyed in collaboration with a UK dye house.
You will also find patterns and kits on our website, with plenty of information about linen and tips on how to knit with it, along with care instructions."
