Hand dyed yarn
GOOD WOOL takes the spoils of the garden, kitchen, farms, forest floor and orchards, and uses them to create harmonious, delicately vibrant naturally dyed yarns for knitters, crocheters, weavers - all kinds of yarn crafts.
Each skein is made by hand with natural resources, including leaves, bark, roots, buds, husks and flowers. Mordants like alum and iron are used to fix and modify colour.
Natural dyeing is a particularly time intensive process, with a beautiful pay off. "It teaches me patience and flexibility. Crafting a happy mistake often leads me to my most pleasing work" says Bex, who is always learning new techniques to bring you unique and pleasing colourways.
Bex from Good Wool brings you yarn grown in New Zealand. 100% Wool. A super fibre. Breathable, hypoallergenic, odor resistant, fire retardant, sustainable and decompostable wool.
